Different places or hamlets-called up the town of Saint-Raphael : Valescure, Santa Lucia, Boulouris, Dramont, Agay and Anthéor / Trayas. Saint-Raphael was once a small fishing port, but from the 19th century, it will become a famous seaside resort.
With its 36 km of coastline, Saint-Raphael has many beaches quality, basically pretty shady coves or creeks heavily serrated.
Saint-Raphael is a dynamic city centre still brimming with activity. You'll find daily colorful Provencal markets, though filled with local produce. And the summer you can enjoy every night of night markets.
Saint-Raphael has a rich architectural heritage, partly thanks to the magnificent villas built from the 19th century by wealthy landowners, and adorned with multiple pillared loggias and friezes in bas-relief.
One of monuments which is a sight when it arrives in Saint-Raphael, is the Basilica of Our Lady of Victory of Lepanto. Built in a Roman Byzantine style in the late 1880, and topped by a dome feature, it owes its color to the pink sandstone of the Esterel.
Another point of attraction, the archaeological museum, located in the center of the old city, in the former rectory of the church "San Rafèu". The museum's best collections from excavations carried out in the ancient ship wrecks, shipwrecked near Saint-Raphael.
For players, the Casino de Saint Raphael is open daily from 10 am to 4 am. Between slot machines and roulette tables, there is no doubt that you can spend an evening rich in emotions!
Note that Path Littoral you allow a walk over 8 Km on a former walk customs. This will be a great way to discover the fauna and flora of the Mediterranean shores. Not to be missed!
